I have a yard with a dog run and I try to pick everything up daily in there, so that's different than living in an apartment, but out in public I make sure I always pick up after my dogs if they happen to go. The only time I've left it is if it's really sloppy and gross and I can't pick it up (though I do try to get as much as possible) or if they go somewhere that I can't access easily.

At home rarely. LOL they have their own "special" pen for that sort of thing. That and feeding raw, its gone in a matter of days.
Out in public, I pick up after them. Peewee rarely goes while on a walk. And Ivan seems to always go . Doesn't matter if hes just pooped. When we are on the trail, I pick up depending on where he goes. If he is on the paved path, I pick up. If he extends that 6 1/2 foot leash off the path, I leave it. I figure his poop will have the company of other poops out there. I do not leave it where people will step on it.

I do admit to once flicking the poo down the gutter. Well it wasn't really flicking, it was more of guiding him to poop over the slates so it fell down there. That was the last time, I didn't make sure I had extra bags with me.

Very rarely. I always carry bags, and I pick it up if we are walking in the village. But this is the kind of areas we walk...

and I feel in an area as large and as empty (I think I am maybe one of 5 who walks here), its far better to leave it than put it in a bag, even a biodegradeable one. As long its its off the track, and can't be seen, I leave it. Half the time I couldn't find it anyway!

Well, I live on 3 acres of land, so I never pick up poop there. lol. He just goes and I never see it again. I guess there's so much space that he doesn't hardly go in the same place twice or whatever.

My dads house also has a big fenced in yard with a lot of land so we rarely pick up poop, but my step-mom does go around once a month or so and picks up what she sees. Or if we have guests coming over. My dad just mows overtop of the lawn so I think the poop gets cut all up, LOL. Probably really gross but all 3 dogs poop really small.

On walks, yep. I always pick up his poop. Unless he goes like in the woods on this one trail, I'll often let it slide.

I feel more guilty immortalising her crap in little plastic bags than letting it wash away naturally...
It might just be because I'm tired...but I died when I read this. Just died. LOL

In our yard, we almost never pick up poop. Two of the three dogs go at the edges of the yard by the field, so it isn't an issue. Chloe is the one that goes in the yard yard because she has to be out on lead and I don't want to walk that far away, but her poops are small and degrade really quick.

When in public, I try to make sure I have bags with me at all times. There have been a few instances where either I didn't have bags or it was too loose to pick up, and I just tried to cover it up the best I could. Wouldn't have stopped people from stepping in it, but it did help stop the aroma of dog feces when you walked by. Lol

And I just want to say, once again...I am jealous. I seriously need to come visit you some time. We can exchange black and white kitties, then, too!

On walks? I always pick it up, unless we're at the park or something and they've gone all the way in the woods - then I'll leave it.

In the backyard? Depending on what they've been being fed (raw vs kibble), sometimes it disintegrates all nice and tidy, and sometimes it doesn't. We usually go around once a week (the day before garbage pickup) and pick up anything we can see.
