We just got back from picking up Maddie. She's such a character. She slept on my lap a bit before. She went scrumaging through her new environment looking for things to chew on. Already got my laces and shoes. And my leg pants. lol. She only spewed up once in the 2 hour car ride. No poohs or wee's. She was the only pup that survived the litter. Anyway, gotta go back and check on her. My brothers are with her now. I cant leave her for a sec. Cya

Hey,
Just found a moment to quickly get on. She's gotten use to the place really fast. All ready playing tug-of-war with my other dog. One of her litter mates died at birth, one at 2 weeks b/c the mum sat on her and the other b/c the new owner didn't give it it's second vaccination. Maddie has had both her first and second. So thats fine. She's starting to chew on us. It hurts. We're saying a firm 'No' and then leaving her for a sec. Is that right? Post pics soon. I need to take a few first when she wakes up. She's use to wearing a collar but not a leash. I don't know what to do about the leash. She's always biting it. When I follow her with it on, she's fine. But when I start going in front of her she grabbes the leash. Any suggestions? Thanks. I might not be on as much any more for the time being. She's a handfull. Cya

Someone suggested spraying the leash with bitter apply. My dogs always did the same thing.

Can't wait to see Maddie.

Hey,
She's been kepping me busy all day. She's snatching Spencer's (my other dog) food after he's had enough. During feeding times they are seperated. I'll take some pics tomorro. Its dark now. And I need to get the camera that can attach to the putta. Anyhoo, have to go check on her. I'm trying to get her to go to sleep. Not working. Cya

A shoulder/chest harness helps a lot when they're learning to walk on a leash; it keeps the leash out of their line of sight - or bite ;) It's also safer, as they can't slip a harness and run off.

I'm waiting for those photos too!

OK!!! I got a spare moment or two. I made some pics before. They aren't very good. I'll get a few close up ones in a sec. Here they are. We were having a nice ponder at night in the garden. She was playing with my other dog.

She has that kind of collar that reflects the light. It was loose last night while she was playing. Thats why it looks a bit big. But it's very light weight. Wow, her eyes glow in the pics. Why's that? I'm going to make some more pics now. Be back soon

All the above pics are of her when she's 11 weeks old. The below pic is when she's 6 weeks. It was taken at the breeders place when we first viewed her
