For those of you who know photoshop...I am having a problem with the dodging and burning. It isn't doing anything to my image. I made a new layer and made sure it was selected in the layer pallette. I even tried doing it on the layer with the picture. It is not doing anything, can anyone please help asap. This assignment is due tomorrow. I am almost done with it, that is one of the few things I have left.

I'll pull up photoshop when my computer's done with recording and give myself a refresher and then give you the steps I do (it's been a long time since I've played with the dodge/burn tool). About another 40 minutes to go :)

thanks, speed. I tried it on the layer I had, but I didn't try making a duplicate of that layer. It worked on the duplicate. Thanks!

Sometimes it won't work if that layer is locked. Especially if you save a picture you get from the internet and open it up in photoshop or something. You'll know it's locked if there is a picture of a lock on the layer in the layers window.

Just duplicate it and delete the locked picture. Glad it worked! :)

For ideas, you could try putting a few bright highlights/pink streaks in her hair. I don't know if that would work, though.
