Performance Dogs?

Just wondering how many people on Chaz has performance/working dogs??

If so, what breed, and what event do you participate in?

Future: Possibly Agility.. we'll see how well he does with it.

Princess.. is basically just "the house pet" now.. she'll be the one to do canicross with Tims brother, but shes basically in retirement with her vision problems and mild hip dysplasia.

Pembroke Welsh Corgi- has done obedience, agilty, herding. titled in obedience (CDX), retired before he could earn more titles

Morgan:
Pembroke Welsh Corgi- has done conformation, obedience, herding. titled in obedience (CD), retired.

Tyr:
Belgian Malinois - trained in obedience, protection. will soon start competing in ASCA obedience followed shortly by protection sport.

Nyx:
Belgian Malinois- puppy, in training for obedience, protection, and anything else mom decides she is good at and can find time to train her for. considering conformation, even though she refuses to walk around with the tail down

would like to get nyx and tyr doing herding and agility, but there hasn't been time to get them out for training. i also am very interested in disc dogs and might try to get them going in that as well...

*sigh* why can't i do everything???

Working on; He goes over jumps so far. Any sort of jump (standard jumps, tires... anything you tell him to really) so everything else. I am going to get him into a class soon but he's only a year and a half so we're not pushing it.

I hope to do agility with him. For fun, seeing as I do not have a competitive bone in my body. Though I do think it'd be pretty cool to take him to agility competitions because I have a feeling he'd enjoy it. Bandit on the other hand is a big lunk who has no interest in it what so ever. That's ok though. I respect him for who he is.

Saffie is a border collie/stabyhoun mix. She has done two canine freestyle competitions so far and in a couple of weeks we have our thirth. I want to keep doing this, and see how far we will come. I don't care about winning, but I'd like get promoted to a higher level in the future.
And we just started agility which goes very well. In the future I would like to sign her up for some agility competitions as well.

I train Boy to do some canine freestyle, but only for fun. He is not a very athletic dog and I don't know excactly how old he is, so there will be no high jumps or walking on hind legs for him. But maybe I will sign him up once for the fun class in a canine freestyle competion. Could be fun.

Loki is not necessarily a performance dog, but she does work for me. We're more like weekend warriors.

Terra is not a performance dog yet, but with her structure, stamina, speed, she's got a lot of potential. I'm hoping to get enough focus out of her to do agility, and we'll probably do weight pull. She'd also be a good candidate for some of the alternative Pit Bull sports, like treadmill sprints and hangtime. The girl has drive coming out of her pores.

We're planning on continuing our agility and obedience paths - they love it, and I'm really hoping that we can get their MX in agility before it's time to retire, and the UDX in obedience!

I wanted to get into dock jumping this summer, but there was just too much going on! I'm hoping to start next spring/summer - probably not as competively as we do obedience and agility - more for fun! I'm pretty sure Flicka will love it (she loves anything to do with water), not so sure about Pepe, but I'm going to try!

We might dabble in some Rally-O with Pepe and Flicka this winter - take some classes, get a feel for it. Again, probably not competively, more of just for fun, and to improve the dog-handler relationship!
