EUREKA! I have found it!!!!

The perfect computer chair.

One of those big exercise balls.

It's comfy, I can move around and bounce, work my core muscles some, move and stretch, good for my back . . . . and it's the right height too!

Now, why didn't I think of this sooner?

LMAO.

Actually that sounds comfy... but how low is your desk? It seems to me the ball would be too small..

I've got one of the ones with a large diameter - since I'm tall. The desk is actually standard height and it doesn't have a keyboard tray, so the keyboard is higher than it should be.

And $20 for a comfy computer chair that you can use for double duty . . . what's not to love? :D

I use one all the time at work--of course we have various sizes in the therapy room! They are great--they actually do sell them with a base for sitting on (so the ball doesn't roll away!)

Thats a great idea! I have a big blue one that I love to exercise on. I might try it out at my desk.

I've actually seen articles recommending exercise balls for just this purpose, not to burst your bubble or anything. I'm going to buy one with my next check, since I had to buy a new phone battery today and Sawyer needs food tomorrow.

Using the stand kind of defeats the purpose though, lol . . .

You can burst all the bubbles you want - just don't start being a ball-buster ;)

Ok....can we see a picture in front of your desk? You mean you have to reach way up to type???? LOL. I don't quite get this visual. Do you sink into the chair like a bean bag sort of or is it a firm ball. Firm balls would be the only way to fly. Ok...I'm starting to visualize this now.
You're tall, right... so somehow you are sitting on a firm ball ...and you CAN reach the keyboard at the same time. What a way to kill two birds with one stone. Is that correct?

I don't sit back either in chairs like kitchen table chairs. LOL. But my ergonomic chair feels good on my back after a hard day.

A woman at the office would always use a regular exercise ball as a chair. She seemed to like it. I still prefer a nice steelcase leap chair with adjustable height, armrests, rotating base, and tilt back.

I used to love those computer chairs that sat you on a sling with your knees on another one in front of you. Those were great! And the cats loved to lay on them too, lol!

I put one in my office and it kept my boss from using my desk, too ;)

I read in mens health a while back, they have treadmill desks now, allows you to walk at the pace of 1mph while getting your work done at your desk (basically just a tall desk with a very basic treadmill at the bottom).
Burns hundreds more calories per day (around 800 from what I remember) moving even at that slow speed.

I might try your ball chair idea at the office for an hour or two per day Renee :)
