I stopped putting a blanket in Toby's crate until fully potty trained, but the thing I dont understand is I use to put a blanket in the kitchen floor so he would lay on it and play with his toys but he would pee on them eventually so I stopped and then today I put a blanket down and I said "get on your blanket" and he squatted and peed! could it be he thinks I'm telling him to pee pee? I dont see how because I'm constantly telling him let's go outside to pee pee or you gotta pee pee and even when we are outside longer I tell him lets pee pee again and he pees
I really wanted him to have a blanket in the kitchen so he could lay there "free" but comfy, I'm restraining him from the living room or should I say trying because I dont have a gate up and to train him when I say stay that he would stay on the blanket? What about leashing him to one of my chairs? without a blanket or move his crate in that spot when he is in the kitchen with me? Toby really is doing great, and I've learned alot from reading these forums so thanks to all the advice given out to all of us!
