Hello! I like to work in pastel (less cleanup than paint, Lol!) and I'd rather draw animals than people. Don't have too many pieces of my art in electronic files but I have a few... (Is it okay to show cat portraits? These are portraits of cats we've since lost to the Rainbow Bridge.) The horse was mine, too - coming up on the third anniversary of losing him. Hope the links work!

This was Ghost, so named because she would disappear if anyone looked at her (a feral rescue). She became a very loving cat.

This was Tobias, he was dumped and living on nachos at the local rec center. We took him home.

Oh look! A dog portrait! A commissioned piece, husband wanted something to show who really runs the household.

This was my Morgan gelding, Rocket. A friend stuck sunglasses on him, so I put him at the beach.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone! Hmmmm, I don't know why the dog portrait isn't showing up... I can see it. Maybe this one will work better:

This is a pencil portrait of Patch. She was my first dog and I lost her on Jan. 23rd after seventeen years. She was always my favorite subject to draw. Hope it shows up.

Thanks.
Yup, just your basic No. 2 pencil on smooth board. Patch was a wonderful dog and she went everywhere with me. She had a funny, expressive face and I miss her.

To tell you the truth, all those different 'weights' drive me nuts, I just wanna pick up a pencil and draw! Lol!

I work on commission but it's more of a sideline than an actual job. I'm not as busy as I used to be, but I haven't advertised much lately either...

See if this pic works. A pastel portrait of Patch and my Rott mix Emily when she was a puppy (lost her too, last year, to heart failure. She was only eight.) Patch did NOT like sharing her toy with the young upstart (they eventually became best friends).
