Our Teddy is gone.

Our Teddy passed away this morning. Tanya was taking him out for his business before she left for work. Somehow he broke off of his collar, ran into the street and was hit by a car. The lady driving the car was very upset, understanding and supportive.

Teddy did not die right away. A very kind soul named Kevin was passing by and stopped to help Tanya and our friend Margie who was there to pick Tanya up. Margie called me and I left right away and met Tanya, Teddy and Kevin at our wonderful vet.

Teddy passed away on the way to the vet with Tanya right there by his side. He was not in any pain and left this world peacefully. He is already at the bridge and probably has caught a few squirrels by now.

Goodbye my buddy, I will miss you like no other pet I ever had.

We will post a proper memorial in a few days.

We have all been on Chazhound so long i feel we are family albeit a prickly one sometimes, i have enjoyed seeing Teddy's pics over the last year and i am just so sorry for him and for both of you. Rest in peace dear Teddy and i hope that Bronki and Cj and all of our dear Rainbow bridge friends are there for you and one day your family will be able to greet you again. I hope heaven is a lovely place with all my heart i do.

this is very hard. I HATE having to write any of this. It shouldn't be this way... but it is.

We are all very heartbroken and devestated.

We are having him cremated and we will be picking up his ashes next week.

Belle is also very sad... she is just wandering around the house crying and looking for him.

We brought home his collar and she is always trying to get up to smell it. I feel the worst for her.

As for us.... we will make it through but it will be very hard. He was such a sweet and special boy and his life ended far to early.... but he lived a great one while we had the pleasure of having him.

I'm in shock over here, and am tearing up at work. Everyone in Chaz may be scattered all over the globe, but we know each other's dogs like family. And Teddy was such a cheerful, loving soul. It's a big loss for all of us.
