Our Newest Addition..

Yup.. we now have 2 cats (we recently found a 6week old kitten running down our road last week) 5 dogs (Riot, Nyxi, Ares, Tyr, Cess) and two horses living at our place..

Here is our newest addition - QAR Starbrite dual reg'd with ApHCC and ApHC with halter points under her belt. She is out of shape as she hasen't been used in about 8 or so years.

She is fitting in well..

Its nice looking outside and seeing horses in my backyard

Riot and Nyxi couldn't be bothered.. they like to watch the horses graze, but continue on to playing lol

Really like her coloring I know jack about horses, though (but I have learned, from taking care of a friend's, that I never, EVER want to have anything to do with Arabians, lol, and that Paints seem to be pretty freaking smart AND have good common sense).

Riot gets more handsome all the time, doesn't he?

I would then have a matching set! Ever had an appy before? You'll become addicted. They're smart and cute and lovable and stubborn and obnoxious and just all around perfect. And we need more pictures. Many many more.

She's gorgeous, Appy's arn't my thing but its good to see a nice one. Most of the ones I've seen that have decent colouring are all goose rumped with no tail or mane and bad tempered. I did some volunteer with riding for the disabled. My favourite horse was an old appy gelding, ugly as anything and a complete sweetheart to be around except once there was a kid on his back you had to give him his space unless you wanted to get bitten. lol

Star is not the first appy I've had, my first appy was a POA pony with a little attitude lol He got me hooked

My horse previous to Star was a leopard appaloosa gelding - I miss him so much.

I see a lot of personality that my old boy had in Star - another reason why I couldn't pass her up.

She hasnt' been ridden/used in about 8 or 9 years. In her youngster days she did shows, was a pleasure mare etc. But lately she has been a pasture oranament. When I went to go and check her out, she was lunged - let out a few bucks, saddled her up and got on with minimal problems. She needs to have some refreshers under saddle, btu her ground manners are wonderful!

Tomorrow I'm going to get her out on the lunge line and start up her work out regiment hehe

Riot just adores the horses, Nyxi is indifferent. She notices them, but doesn't really care LOL

Most say they are ugly but I like the old school Apps that have the ratty mane and tail.
