Okay well I was just pointing out that unless you get her tested or she lays eggs you can never really know for sure. There are theories about how they perch indicating gender but I personally believe they are hogwash.

Just didn't want you to name "her" something feminine and find out later she is a he ;).

I think she looks like a Bindi :).

What a cutie! I used to be scared to death of birds-still kinda am honestly! But my grandparents just had three little baby lovebirds and I'm thinking about getting one of them. I thought you had to have two too though,I need to read up on them more.

I am horrible at naming things:p

I had a female black masked love bird in college. She was a handful :) I named her Louie thinking she was a he. :lol-sign:

You don't need multiple at all :).

As long as the sole bird gets lots of love and attention (should have at least 2 hours of out of cage time a day) they can thrive on human companionship :).

I didn't think you could/should keep them alone?
Names...umm...Sola or perhaps Uniqua (Backyardigan TV show)
see i thought the same thing ( because the name of the bird gives it away. soo, i called a local bird place and she said that if i were to get another love bird they would focus more on each other and possibly become meaner, then i could not bond with the bird. so, i think i will just stick with him/her for a while until i am comfortable with her.
