We got our Fila Brasiliero Today!!! YAYYYY!!!!!! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

We are SO SO SO Excited. She is so precious.. The sweetest thing, EVER!! But holy cow, LOL, she is so big already.. Her mom was 180lbs and her dad was 205lbs. :eek:

Are Mastiff pups in general rather vocal? She doesn't bark much, but she sure does make a tonnn of whines, growls, grunts, etc.. ;)

Just wanted to share a few photos.. :)

We are brand new here, and haven't posted much, but browsing around and getting acquainted.

AHHHHHHHHh I don't think I'd ever own one but I just want to pick up all the puppies and smoosh them!!!!!!!!! it's ADORABLE - good luck :)

Yup. They talk. Don't bark a whole lot, mainly because if there's something they think needs to be taken care of they'd rather go into stealth mode and be on it before it has a chance to react. They love that shock and awe factor, lol.

Your little one's parents were BIG for Filas!

Now, as soon as those shots are complete, get that puppy out and SOCIALIZE, SOCIALIZE, SOCIALIZE. Anyplace someone take their purse dog, you take your puppy. This is REALLY important for the future and it will not affect your Fila's nature as a guardian; it will make your Fila a more intelligent, effective guardian.

We are so excited to have her, and she is fitting in with our family so well already! She has taken the most to my boyfriend.. ugh.. ;) But LOOVES our daughter, who is 4 almost equally as much..

We haven't fully decided on a name, its between Memphis and Luna... I like Luna, he likes Memphis.. and if it was up to our daughter her name would be Peaches, LOL!

I actually am a member of a mastiff forum, and one of the girls recommend I come over here too, said there was some great Fila info on this forum, so I hope to learn some, while getting to know you guys!

Oh she's so adorable! I love hearing about Renee's Kharma, and I can't wait to hear about this girl as she grows :)

Oh, and when she's older, she will probably gravitate more toward you overall. She may stay a flirt, lol. Kharma's a terrible flirt, but she uses it for her own evil purposes, for instance, she's got the exact mathematics figured out to be able to flounce around Charley and flick him in the balls with the whip end of her tail :rofl1: (They have a long history of mutual loathing)

Never forget for an instant that these are HIGHLY intelligent creatures capable of creative deviousness -- and they understand cause and effect quite well and use it to their advantage ;)

I sure hope so, LOL.. But at this moment she definitely favors him, that little turd, when he is here and awake, she is his little shadow.. whines when he goes into the bathroom, and does better potty outside for him... :rolleyes:

We'll hope she at least likes me later on... ;)

She's gorgeous! I like Luna too, but Memphis is such a pretty name as well! I think whichever one she ends up with will be great. :)

Another vote (if we're voting, LOL) for LUNA! She looks more like a Luna than the other two options :D

This. We take animal crackers everywhere with us. :) Animal crackers= way to a fila's heart all the time.

Congrats on your fila pup- they are the some of the cutest pups out there.

Oh and don't be too heartbroken if she stays by your bf's side, Bella loves me, but she is a daddy's girl through and through. :)
