Coat blowing hit Aesop hard this year, so we set out to fix that today.

Side note: Orson doesn't 'blow coat' but MAN ALIVE has he been shedding like mad this year too! Must be the heat wave/droubt we're going through? IDK but I think I've vacuumed up enough dobe hair to construct a whole new doberman! LOL

So fluffy...so handsome

Goose is fantastic as always.

Menchi moulted pretty spectacularly too...must be the heat. Now that she is done Watson has decided it is time for him to shed out his coat >.<

Goose had some pretty impressive molting too, but I'll take five or ten minutes of raking over the two hour fiasco, lol. But, on the upside, now that he's done, he'll be good for quite a long while He's a pretty tidy dog

That seems to be a theme with the Chinese breeds Menchi likes to be tidy and clean...except when she is drinking water

He was soooo messy as a baby/adolescent. He's much better now in that he mostly keeps water in his mouth, lol. Soggy bibs are much less common unless he's rushing But for awhile there as a pup you could figure out where he was in the house by the water trail..it would just flow out of his mouth

On a side note, the other day while I was out I saw two smooth Chows and said to my mom, "aww, they're just like Goose!"... I forgot she didn't know who Goose was, haha. And it wasn't a factual statement anyway, since Goose is the prettiest, cutest smooth Chow there ever was, so they weren't just like her. Plus, one was blue. But it was still pretty cool to see a couple in person! And their owner was shocked I knew what they were and thanked me for not calling them Sharpei.
