So me, my mom and my aunt are all in the house in Miami. Im home for spring break

my aunt has her small dogs (a lhasa mix, and a pekinese)
my mom has 2 dogs (an afgan hound and a bichon frise)
and I have Romeo

Now.. yesterday morning I go eat breakfast and to go feed the dogs and I see this shihtzu, cute dog, but in full show coat. the only person on this earth I know that keeps pets in full show coat is my mom, so I figure.. ok, my mom got a new dog. I feed him along with the others

My mom later walks into the kitchen later for lunch after she comes back from yoga.. and there is the dog. she thinks that my aunt got a new dog

my aunt walks in later for her late lunch, sees the dog and since shes never met romeo just assumes that that dog is Romeo.

THIS DOG HAS BEEN HERE SINCE YESTERDAY! until FINALLY...

Today at noon we all run into eachother in the kitchen, and my mom asks my aunt "Oh, his coat is so pretty. how do you keep it like that?"

and my aunt replies "umm..that isnt my dog, I dont know. ask fran"

im like.. Well its not mine!! and pointed to Romeo and was like thats mine!

So we are all staring at this dog wondering where the HECK it came from. No collar or anything, when finally a little while after my cousin comes strolling through the door and thanks us for watching her dog.

after we all yell at her she says.. "well.. I left a note on the fridge"

the note said. "Left my dog here. His name is Winston, not like you guys will notice... xoxo Carrie"

.... :rofl1: only in this house could this be possible!! lol

the joke when I was getting another dog and my dad wasnt really into it, was that we would just not tell him and he wouldnt notice another dog... but I didnt think that could REALLY happen anywhere!

hmmm... so hypothetically, if I somehow slipped my dogs into your house, you think you could not notice for a week or so while I am on vacation?!

Too funny! My mom rescued a cat, took almost a month getting him acclimated to the other cats before giving him the run of the house and Dad didn't notice for nearly a week after that - which was kind of funny, since the cat weighed a good 18 lbs.

Ooooo, good idea! Surely a couple of 60 lb. mixed breeds wouldn't be noticed either...

Lol everybody drop off your dogs!

oh and Kenya is at my other aunts home.

Reason why I dont have pictures of all of them is because we are such a seperated household, this goes for our dogs also lol they stay in "their" rooms, its like seperate packs! lol

LOL! Glad no one has ever tried that at my house

I can imagine coming home to find some poor dog cowering in the corner, shivering and covered in pee after being subjected to my three!

Lol, that's hilarious!

And pictures of the afghan, please? I love seeing a well-maintained show coat.

Good thing you guys just cared for it! I would NEVER just leave my dog with a note on the fridge! That is dangerous.

:rofl1: Ah Fran, you crack me up, LOL

Wouldn't work here either........Orson would have a hissy fit, even if a strange dog/cat steps on 'his property' while on a walk

Wouldn't work here either, Ivan would have a hissy fit. I swear he is a little old lady trapped in a dogs body. He knows everything that goes on in the neighborhood. Sometimes I think he can tell if someone next door farts.
