I think so too. Growing up in Houston, we had all sorts of lizards- skinks, anoles, and Leopard Geckos (no, those weren't native). The only ones that would get on our windows were the geckos. I swear, we had an infestation of Leopard Geckos. I'm guessing someone's pets got out? They'd get huge. Now my neighbor has them as pets.

Definitely a gecko. On the gulf coast (and I'm sure other places), if you leave your light on, it attracts bugs to the windows, which in turn attract these little guys. Fun to watch them hunt.

Not so fun to be sound asleep and your mother/sister come rushing in demanding you catch a gecko that found its way into the house, however.

I don't know where you live but if it is cold in the winter maybe you better try to catch it if it comes back.

i use a sheet for catching alot of critters. They see it as a wall and don't run quite as quickly as if you tried with your hands or a jar. A fish net like you use in fish tanks would work too but the critter would be able to see you easier then they would the sheet. Is it a ground window? A second story would be a lot harder. All the gecko would do is squeel a little:D just don't grab it by the tail:yikes:

It's a high window, it's over my front door. Do I put the sheet on the ground? It would squeal, then I would squeal louder and probably drop the poor thing :lol-sign: Umm.. what do I do with it when I catch it.. :lol-sign:

LOL....we have no less than 12 of those ranging in size from tiny to monstrous. Very common in Tx.

Strange fact? You cannto legally catch and collect them without a HUNTING LICENSE haha!
