Other reasons not to get a puppy are: my parents would never allow it, Daisy wouldn't really appreciate it either, I have no crate for which to crate train, I don't have time to care for a puppy, oh I could go on..lol

Sweet 72947, you list some VERY good reasons for not getting a puppy - particularly no time and no money. Are you ready for roots? If not, don't buy! I learned the hard way....

What a cutie. It's kind of cruel that they make puppies so heartmeltingly cute! Makes for good sales though. I've already learned my lesson with that though - I fell in love from across the pet store and now have 3 dogs. Whatever happened to the "this is not a good idea!" trigger? Puppy cuteness has that special disabling effect.

But not having enough time is a good reason not to get a puppy. Also, would you be okay with "crate and rotate" if he turned DA when he was a couple years old? Not all pits do . . . but some do. Of course, if you decided to adopt an adult pit someday . . .
