I'll try and keep this short and sweet...
Ive got three dogs... the oldest a Jack Russell (18 months)..a rottiXGSD (15 months) and on sunday we brought a GSD 7 week old puppy...
When we got the puppy home everything was going fine, JR got on with him and rotti seemed ok..but slightly nervous.
That evening things got progressivly worst between the rotti and puppy...the rotti would lock eyes, hackles would be up and snap viciously at the pup if it whinged or went near her. And it wasnt just warning nips..she was out for a fight. Things werent any better this morning, untill i sat the rotti down and literally explained what is going on and why its here and why it isnt a threat, as you do
and it has slowely got abit better...
the rotti will be in the same room as the pup while its quiet and not at his hypest moments and be slightly more tolerent however im not sure how long this will last...any tips on how to definatly not go backwards? and how to keep moving up?
The rotti does suffered with anxiety issues, so probally this is causing a large deal of the problem..anyway to help ?
Muzzles are last resort as we think this will make her more worried and annoyed.
