But what about the nicknames other people in our lives give our dogs? What are some of the weirder monikers that others have given your pooches?

My Mom calls Slade "Spaz".
My Dad calls him "Crackhead".

My parents aren't dog people, and his energy astounds them. LOL

My sister calls him "Poo-butt".

And last, but not least . . . are you ready for this? The boyfriend calls him (in a taunting schoolyard tease intonation, no less) "Slader Slader Masturbator". LMAO

And here I thought *I* was bad for having nicknamed him "Booger"!!!

Teeny is actually a nickname itself (her name is Athena), but she is often known as Princess Peanut.

Blue's new one is Boobs.

My moms dog Hamilton has quickly been given a myriad of nicknames: Hammy, Spammy, Spamilton, Spamalot, Little Buddy, and Little Evil. Often I just call him Evil.

My dad sometimes calls Daisy "Sweet Pea". Other than that, no names for her really. Benji gets called "B-boy" by my sister, and "Benji-boo" by my mom.

A couple of the neighborhood kids call Xena "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"

When I had her walking down the street one day, a couple of kids coming up the street on the other side were looking at her. One of them called out, "I like your kitty cat". Her friends immediately said, "you're an idiot! that's a dog" and she went, "Duh. I like your kitty cat puppy dog!". So I actually call her "kitty cat puppy dog" sometimes.

I'm the weird nick name generator of the family. My mom just shortens everything to as short a call name as possible because she thinks dogs work best on one syllable call names *eye roll* so her dog Cardigan became Cardi and her other dog Ozreal.. became Oz. I go to visit her and Cardi... becomes Cardimabardigan, Cardi Wardi, etc. Oz became Ozzyspozzy..... and once I made the mistake of telling my mom she was magical, like a witch... and she came unglued telling me I was calling her dog evil... Ozzyspozzywoz is not evil... just COOL!

Orion is also known as Puff, Pinky Puff, Puff the Magic Dragon, Puff the Pink-nosed Dragon, Puffball head with Grandpa ears (though that was more when he was little and the hair in his ears curled around the backs of them and I couldn't help but thinking of some old man every time I looked at him).
Xander is Pander, Xander B., Xander B Floofers, Floof, Floofers, Feeee-looooo-faaa-ers, Pandeefloof, Pander B., Pandinated Floofers, Xandeenated Pander Floof, etc.
Amaya is just Mama Kitty.... sometimes said loudly in a baby voice..... MAMA KITTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Marzi.... is Stripes... or Stripsipan.... or my furry two year old... or Stripey Dork.
Maddie aka Maddie Moo, Pretty Missy Maddie Moo, Miss Moo, Missy Maddie Ma'ams, etc
Maui... is My Snuggle Friend or Maui Mans.
Makana is Makana Mans or Makani mans...
Shye is my Shye Baby, or Shye Puppy or the Barkinator.
River is Rivie or Riv, Lickitron, Likitung (from Pokemon, they got the image in the cards/tv/movies wrong cause really, it's Riv), Mah Rivie Dowg, or more recently Sport Impersonator.... since the registration papers came back with his name as "Sport."
Azure is Azzy, Azzy Spaz, Azzy Spazzers, Curly Merley Monster, Merley Monster, Landshark, Lickinator.
Ransom is Ranny, Ranisom, Bear Butt, Handsome Ransom, Happy Dog, Hanisom Ranisom.

So... yeah... They all answer to everything too. It's odd. Yay for smart dogs and cats that put up with my oddity.

Triumph - "Fluffy Turd" by my mom, "Loud Mouth Ralph" by my dad
Audubon - "Audi" and "Wiggle Butt"
Jake - "Jakie Noodle"
Gracie - "Gracie Girl"
Callie - "Callie Girl In A Chocolate World" by my mom... WTF? LOL (I think it's from that annoying song by "Aqua" that goes "I'm a barbie girl, in a barbie world...")
Mattie - "Mater" from the movie CARS, and "Tater" from the comedian Ron White
Bo - "Bo-Duke" by both my parents, since he was named after the 'Dukes of Hazzard'
Katie - "Stinky Butt"
Sam - "Sambo" and "Rambo Sambo"
Blue - "Ol' Blue" and "Bull" (because he stampedes like one)
Annie - "Little Orphan Annie" by my mother. She still thinks that's what I named her after, LOL.
Emmy - "M&M" by my mom and "Emmy-Lou" by my dad

Duke has been giving 3 nicknames. He gets called Dinkus, D*ckbrain and the one my bf friends like to us when they are wasted, which is Duke Dukealuke. This name comes out in a highpitched girly tone.

My dad calls Bailey "Snausage" When she was overweight, she'd lay on her side and her feet wouldnt all touch the ground.

They call Chance the million dollar puppy because it cost me $4600 to save him from parvo

Everyone, sadly, just calls Kody @$$hole. He's the most annoying/clingy of my 3 and it annoys other people lol

My mom calls Armani "Bud"... which actually stuck when he was a baby, everyone started calling him that which made me mad because he didnt seem to know his real name and I dont really like "Bud"... so I made a point that everyone start calling him is real name... now he answers to either.

My sister who is not a dog person calls him "The Rat".

Sometimes I call him "kid" or "kiddo" or "babe"... but they arent really nicknames just whatever pet names I think up... I call all animals those names really.

Most of the service dogs I work with get to go to foster homes on the weekends (rather than staying in the kennel), and I tell the fosters not to use the dogs' real names because that is the cue for "look at me" and a few fosters have managed to ruin the cue in the course of the weekend!

Anyway, we have this one smooth collie who is the SWEETEST girl, very nice dog, but also very girly. Don't know how to explain it, but it's like she's very pretty and she knows it. We call her Angel because she's so perfect. :) Her weekend foster has two young boys, the older one is 3 or 4, so they got to pick her nickname. Their pick: Hairy. LOL. I'm sure the dog is offended by the name and doesn't even respond when they say it. :)

My dearly beloved spouse calls both dogs "Dog". It's not that he doesn't like them, he can't seem to keep the kids straight either, though in his defense there are more of those.

What I find really interesting is when Steve calls the dogs "Dog", they know which one he is talking to, every time. I don't know how they know.

I am not sure that he knows what the Guinea Pig's name is, yet he chats with him all the time, since he likes to work at the table next to Fluffy Buckley's cage. He calls him Piggie, which is ok, because that is what Fluffy Buckley thinks his name is anyway.

Raja is Fuzzy Butt, Spaz Dog, Punk, Maniac, and Dingus.
Temporary is, of course, Tempie. But she is also Peach Blossom, Beefcake, Pudgekins, and Great Big Oaf.

Those are all the ones I can think of at the moment that I call them. My mom calls Raja Zoomy because she heard me use the term zoomies, and she said Raja has never-ending zoomies. My sister sometimes calls her Powder Pea. Tempie is usually just referred to as "the good one," though they still occasionally call her Permie.

Kai - "Bear-Bear", "Boo-Boo", "Piglet"

Brawt - "Rut-Ro", "Little Big Man", and the most fitting "Sir-lick-a-lot"

Nomi - "Nomichins" (sometimes shortened to "Chin-Chin"), and my all time favorite and the one she ALWAYS comes running to "Milk Dud" - because she is colored like a Milk Dud.

Charlie - "Sir Charles".

I'm sure Charlie will get some more nicknames once he's been here a little longer.

..and Iggy (the BD) is referred to as "Moose" and "Iggamus"
