I nabbed this little beauty up a couple of a couple of days ago, was sitting on the curb in town with a sign that said Free/Runs.

Needless to say I nabbed it up Quick and put the free sign in the glove box so no one nabbed it out of my Tracker.

It has a 3 horse 2 stroke side shaft engine in it. The engine started on the second pull after I primed it. Yes it still has gas in it.

Edit- it is worth nothing as a snow blower, one of the blades is shattered, looks like a rock got in there.

Now my plan is to mount is on a bicycle. Mounting the engine ONTO the bike will be easy, but I was not sure about the drive system. atleast not until I saw this.

The pic is from a commercail site that sells 35cc weedeater engines with a kit to mount it on a bike.

That is a plastic ring that just snaps on, it's $40.

I can do better. The plan is to cut notches in a 20" BMX rim, slide it on the spokes and weld it on. Will try it on a junk rim first.

This should be um... interesting.

Posting and update.

Evil Engine being a PITA to get out.

The bolts that held the red cover over the engine where too hard to get off with two pairs of pliers and I did not feel like walking to the house to get the "Proper" tools for the job, so Mr. Angle Grinders comes to help me.

Why does Red plastic turn to pink once it has been cut?(You should have seen my pants. lol)

Engine out.

The test drive ring worked out great.

Things I need yet.
-Small fuel tank
-Angle Iron
-Rear Bike Rack

The fuel tank on the blower is only a 1.2 quart tank and fused to the plastic cover. I could cut it off easily, but its a really odd shape and such, would be hard to mount.

The angle iron will be easy to get, when I see a bed out on the curb, I will just flip it over and nab up the frame.

I think i have a rear rack here somewhere(I hope)

And the purpose is ????
Cost of Bike I am using(Yes, it's BRAND NEW) - $95
Price of the teeny 35cc(Less than 1/2 horse) and drivetrain kit - $380

Cost of my 3 Horse Power kit - $0

Satisfaction of building something usable and cheap, AND safe even. Being my own creation that has many improvements over prefab kits - Priceless
