Well my mother *Finally* came home from the hospital from this whole ordeal that happened August 1st.

Not 5 hours outta the hospital and she was already abusing her medication x.x

I am not doing this. I can't live like this, and so, I am taking measures into my own hands.

I have taken all her meds, and have hidden them in the house, until I can go get a lock box. I will give her what is **perscribed**, and nothing more. This is just crap! I mean... it hasnt even been 24 hours outta the friggin hospital!!!!

*Grrrrr*

*Searches deep for inner strength*

She is gonna be so p!ssed when she wakes up...... blah. Why do I feel like a little kid again scared of my mother finding out what I did, like I did something horrible..

If she's abusing her meds...I don't know if you'll be able to stop her. I used to be addicted to/abuse perscription and OTC medications, and when my mother hid all my meds, I ended up searching through her bedroom and breaking into her belongings to find it, keeping bottles of nyquil and painkillers stashed throughout my bedroom, and even buying prescription drugs from other kids. She probably needs to be back in the hospital...I don't know the extent or type of your mothers problems, but I'm sure her abuse of drugs has a root and that needs to be taken care of, otherwise she will find a way to abuse...

Ryan, I wish I had the ability to teleport strength to you--but is sounds like you have it anyway. I can only say that I hope and pray that you and your Mom will make it through this. It is so hard to be in the position of the parent, when in fact you are the child. Not fair to anyone. (((BIG BIG HUGS)))

I just got back from Walmart, got a lock box, wrote down all the meds and when she is to have them, and put them in the box. She is just now getting up... she is gonna be horrible x.x

Milo, the whole reason she was in the hospital, was because her and one of my aunts commited a double suicide , with overdosing on pain meds. She survived, my aunt sadly did not. So she has been in the hospital since August 1st, and over half that time was in the mental ward . They said she was "fine" ... obviously not. She has had a addiction for a very very long time, and does not want to quit.

Hopefully I can *try* to talk some sence into her.... *sigh*

And hopefully the lock box will keep her at bay atleast for now. Its not like Im denying her meds, just denying her "over the limit" amounts.

((HUGS)) No one should ever have to do what you are doing. I'm wondering what a call into the doctor would do? I wish you strength my friend...
