I haven't been here in forever and a day, but Friday was my last day of work, so now I can be a regular around here! My babies are going to be spoiled rotten, but that's a price I'm willing to pay!

Congrats! It's a fun (and scary) sense of freedom to finally be self employed. :)

It's good to be back! After Beanie died a couple of years ago, I just got so depressed and was just searching for something to make me feel better. When I was a kid, I used to draw alot, but I put down my pencils when I got interested in boys;) and I picked them up again bound and determined to get Beanie perfect. The sketch of her in my profile pic is the first drawing that I felt really proud of, and so it has become my logo (she was my inspiration after all, in drawing and many other things). Then I did sketches of the rest of the zoo, and people started asking me to do their pets.
Recently, my formerly delightful work environment turned sour. I was not a drama queen in high school, I refuse to start being one at 34!! Being bad-mouthed and spied on (literally) was just to much for my sensitive self, so hubby and I decided it was a good time to see if my artwork could become more than a hobby. I've done well locally, esp. considering we live in a small town, so now I just need to take it to the next level! Right now, I'm working on one of our 3 in the sunroom with the full background, and I'm trying more 3D shading in the headshots.
