lol okay, so our boys arn't huskies but they could be sled dogs. lol well maybe not.
i took them walking today, i decided for a bit of fun i'd just run for a while, buster likes to stay out fornt. so i egged harry on GO GO GO and i wish i had wheels. they stayed perfectly together and ran at the same speed, my legs couldn't keep up though.
i only sold my scooter a few months ago and i've had it for years. probably wouldve been disastrous if i'd got them pulling that anyway. lol but i thought a bout it

Alot of dogs used in southern countries don't fit the classic description of sled dogs.
The IFSS held the world drylands in Argentina last year or two years ago (don't remember off hand).
In some cases (actually alot of cases) pointers and pointer crosses are used due to the rather excellent speed and stamina. Greysters and the like are also used alot more often. Dogs with shorter coats that still have a natural talent (although can require alot more training because they don't exactly have the natural inclination to pull).
For the purpose of going for fun... I've seen nearly every dog type out there used for dog scootering and skijoring.

Hehe thats awesome!!!! I think you should order them a pair of x-backs and get a scooter again ;) With a little bit of training (to make things more controled) I think the 3 of you could have a lot of fun! Certainly seems like they enjoyed it.

Like SharkyX said, any dog can become a pulling dog so long as he has the mentality for it. I have seen everything from miniature poodles to welsh corgis to APBT to..well....everything LOL When I was in Chicago we even tried out my BF's male AmBull. He was unsure of things at first being that for the 7 years of his life he was always told NOT to pull but he caught on quick and soon was enjoying himself too!

ya, Hershey can almost be a sled dog. :lol-sign: Just put something on him so he can pull, and he would probably pull. lol, But then again, if you put something on him, like a sled dog harness, he probably wouldn't pull, knowing him. Its so crazy, it just might work! Great job though! :D

I made a an article complete with pictures on here a while ago that is a great tool to get started...If you cant find it here then it is easy to find by going to www.molosserdogs.com and looking in the "Huskies" section of the forum.
