I played it for a while. The scaling of enemies got annoying until I disabled it. If you have it on PC, check out the mods for it off their forums. If you don't have it on PC, then I'm sorry for you. :(

You mean TES IV: Oblivion?

Amazing game. I beat it, pretty much 100% completion on all the quests :D Never was much of one for mods for it.... should install it again and use a bunch of mods. I started up Morrowind recently, haven't gotten to play it very much, but I do have a bunch of mods working that are pretty awesome.

The Elder Scrolls Nexus - Oblivion mods and community Is the best place to look for mods for the two of them

I liked it on the Xbox. Our computer is teh suck and would never have been able to support it.

I really loved it. I beat the entire thing. I don't have an xbox anymore, so I don't get to play. :/ I miss it.

Funny you should mention it..... I beat it a couple years ago, and I've just recently been playing it again. It's like the best game ever.

This game has so many different dimentions to it, it's endless.

I still haven't finished the main quest because the Oblivion gates are too much fun and I don't want them to go away. :D

What characters do you guys play?

I really got sucked into the Alchemy aspect of the game. I don't look at it as battling monsters, I'm harvesting ingredients. :)

I always play as a rogue type character. They're just the most fun to me, sneaking about, stealing people's wares and women's hearts.

On that note, I got about halfway through the Dark Brotherhood quests and it bugged out.

I LOVE The Elder Scroll games! But I don't have Oblivion IV yet . . . Actually I just downloaded the original TES game (Arena) of Bethesda's website for free! Primitive graphics, but still fun. :D

My latest character is a Male/Breton/Mage/Adventurer/Sneak/Alchemist.

The Alchemy sure helps with the Feather and other potions. A good Reflect Damage effect is fun because you can just stand there and let someone beat on you until they drop.

I'm at level 16 and still exploring while leveling up. I'll wait until level 20 before heading for Kvatch and kicking off the fun.

Needing a good Nighteye Ring right about now. :D

Oh, Goblins, with all their leaping about and chimp screams... suck.

The title of the thread . . . Every time I look at it I start getting story ideas about some kind of intravenous serum that transports souls to an Oblivion dimension.

Yeah, me too... I don't know HOW to play that game without being sneaky ;) I also beat the mages' guild, fighters' guild, dark brotherhood, vampire, .... pretty much all the quests I wanted to beat. I haven't beaten the wayshriners quest yet 'cause it seems to want you to be "good" and that's just no fun.

I always end up being a sneaky mage marksman alchemist type person. Last time I was a Khajiit (or however the heck you spell that) and it was AWESOME... I love having all the free night eye I want. Plus I got my acrobatics skill WAY up and I could jump over houses and stuff pretty much.

A friend of mine got really good at conjuration and made a ring that when he put it on equipped him with bound armor and weapons. Kinda a neat idea.

That game is awesome. I can't play it or nothing gets done around here though, lol.

I always end up being an argonian magey/alchemy/athleticy character, and making up spells to go out and sneak around...like invisibility, etc. and tricking my enemies into attacking each other. Or just levitating over their heads and out of there. :rofl1:

I think I had some of that in a Manual Auto-Dosing Machine, after a surgery. Mmmm, Skooma. :D

As I was so nicely corrected :p, the game is called "The Elder Scrolls (TES) IV: Oblivion".

:)

ETA: I haven't played any of the other games in this series.

If you liked Oblivion, try Morrowind. It's TES III and, IMO, much better than Oblivion. Not quite as pretty looking but the gameplay and story are better.

Plus it's the only game I've found thus far that had a city that took me three days to explore (at about 1 - 2 hours playing per day; Vivec for those that are familiar), which doesn't include the time to do all the quests associated with it....

Actually...I think I might find that game later and play it again.

I got lost in Vivec ALL THE TIME. Truthfully, I never did finish Morrowind (not because I didn't enjoy it, just because there was so much to DO and my attention span for games is not always the greatest.)

Did anyone play Daggerfall (TES II?) I LOVED that one, I always played as a High Elf, a Dark Elf, or an Argonian. When I played as a High Elf, I would do a custom character class and choose "very susceptible to poison" . . . It didn't matter since High Elves as a race are immune to poison. :p Most of my characters ended up being werewolves, too.

My favored class is a fighter-mage combo, BTW!
