That's cool. I'll yak about my new dog food on a new thread later on. Where I live you'd need a kennel license to have that many dogs, when I know you better I might discover you're a dog angel that rescues dogs?

Thanks for the reply

Fluffy IS an angel to these dogs she rescues :) Look up her threads about Frankie, the fifteen year old dog who got tossed out when his owner got a new man. Best thing that ever happened to Frankie though, 'cause Fluffy went and rescued him :)

Ugh... so glad it didn't give my dogs problems. Once Lucy manages to chow her way through this 30lb bag, I fully intend on switching her. The new pup is being fed Canidae at the breeder's, so I was considering switching Lucy to that too... but I've been reading some mixed reviews about it... why must it be complicated
Try Dog Lover's Gold (basically Canidae just different name) or Diamond Naturals (again lot of the same quality/ingredients).

Those are brands we tried after Canidae went down hill so much.

Hadn't heard of Dog Lover's Gold before... but there aren't any distributors in MN, so that would make sense. :( I was thinking of giving TOTW a try, it's a bit closer to the price my mom is used to, but I guess that won't really matter if the dogs don't do well on it. One of these days I'll just have to go hang out in the dog food aisle of Pet Supplies Plus, and see what I can figure out. :p

Where I live, a 'kennel license' is not required to own a certain amount of dogs (and I do not own, or run, a 'kennel'). And yes, my dogs are rescues.

Did I miss something here?

No,I just got sidetracked & this is a thread about dog food. I did try to find info about Frankie......I'm not yet used to how to navigate this site. I think it's beyond wonderful that you've opened your heart & home to so many dogs. And I love the pic's I've seen so far.

What a wonderful story! Can I assume Frankie is still there now & bonding with your mom even more? Thanks for helping me to read his story, and see the pic's!When we first got Rags he didn't even know what a real dog bone was for,he just looked at it,had a little terrier @ the time & she showed him what to do with a bone......I'll never forget that.

And the new dog,Buttons, didn't seem to know people are for licking & kissing-not to chew on.I think time is the great healer for neglected dogs, and Frankie having so many playmates must feel like doggie heaven to him.

Thanks for posting that link. I work at a Pet supply store and told my boss about this article. (Printed it off for him to read tomorrow) Tomorrow the food is being moved to the back of the store and hopefully will just sit there till it expires. The good thing we really dont have to many people come in to buy it. :)
