If people are happy with the .5, so am I. It might be a little crowded, but not really. 4 acres isn't all that much LAND, but its a lot of room for a group of 15-20 dogs. 3 hours sounds good to me.

awesome. that works out for me too. Now we need a date. I say we maybe plan for a Saturday. Did we want to do any kind of food gathering potluck thing at all since people are coming from out of town? If so, we might need to plan for that at someone's house maybe? Also, if anyone is coming and not bringing their dog, I have a couch if you need a place to crash. The lady mentioned that there are animal friendly hotels and beds and breakfast places nearby. Want me to ask her for a list of places?

I should be fine with whatever anyone else decides on since I live over here and don't plan on taking any big trips anytime soon. So, I don't think there are any days where I wont be able to make it.

Ditto.

No harm in asking her for a list of places to go.

i think .5 acres will be fine for what, 15 of us? my best friend lives on .5 of an acre and i know exactly how big it is...sounds good.

I agree with Nolu on 3 hours, 2 is too short, 4 we might get cranky.

And i probably wouldn't be able to make it until April...plus then the weather will most likely be nice.

ok so then lets try and plan for April with the .5 acres. Hmm.... maybe early to mid April? I mayyyy go to PA to do the Turkey hunt with Puckstop... still have to discuss it with Brendan. I think the season is from late April to late May.

pending the actual date, i can probably make it - it will be starting later in the day, right (since that is when it opens!).

rah does request larger than 0.5 acres, simply because he can't really run in 0.5 acres. i think having 15 dogs in 0.5 acres is going to be a bit tight, - it's going to be hard to let the dogs run and get going AND have people in the area, especially since the descriptor says there's also a patch of woods in the pen. the 4 acre pen is only 25/hr more than the 0.5 acre, so if we have enough people coming might that be worth it just to make sure we all have enough room? rah does a full acre just for tennis ball! granted 4 acres is overkill i agree, but i think the 0.5 acres is just going to be too small..
