I haven't had to deal with a young'en in almost 8 years and I'm starting to wonder if little puppies should go on my Murtaugh List! LOL I really don't know how foster lady kept up with him being in a wheel chair!

anway....

So far he is doing great in his crate over night (thank you foster lady!) and goes from 9:30 pm till 4:30am without waking me for potty time.....we get up, potty, and go back to bed till 6am. Eating fine, playing fine, acting like a normal puppy.

My question for today is-

Those of you with large dogs AND small dogs....how do you keep the big dogs from destroying the little dog toys?

I've caught Orson repeatedly trying to steal the small toys and it's only a matter of time before he gets away with it. I know it's hard for him, Phoebe didn't care for toys so up till now any toy on the floor is are belonging to him!

When I had big and small dogs, I just gave the small dogs big toys and let them deal with it for the most part. You'd be surprised how creative they can get with them. Some toys, the big dogs didn't care about so I could give the little dogs a smallish Nyla bone or something. Or, now, with only having small dogs, if my son's big dog comes to visit, I put away the small dog toys.
