Another leg problem... this time it is Elle.

For the past week, if she walks too far, she holds her leg up in a funny way... I figured it was a pulled muscle because the rest of the time she is fine and still jumps around like normal.

Well, it wasnt stopping so this morning she went to the vet.

She moved her kneecap out of place by jumping... She has to go in the morning for xrays, which I hate...because she has to be put under.

Then if nothing else is wrong, the vet will give it two weeks to see if it goes back in on its own and if not she will need surgery.:( :(

How come the ones that are loved so much get hurt?!

Oh darn. That is not good news. Poor girl. I hope it will get better on it's own. Surgery is not fun. Jose has luxating patellas and he already had one surgery on one knee when he was very young. For a couple of days he was miserable. It was the saddest thing. But in no time he wasn't in pain anymore and hobbled around for a couple of months in a brace. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Elle doesn't have to go through that. (((hugs for Elle and you))) Let us know how things go with her.

I'm so sorry! That makes me so nervous about my little girl Emma. She's a 3 1/2 pound 4 month old jack russell/yorkie mix and she LOVES to do the jumping jack russell thing. It makes me so nervous because she can almost clear two baby gates stacked on top of each other and she will just constantly jump. I worry she's going to hurt herself :( No matter how many times I say off or stop, she just keeps on.

They couldn't manipulate it back into place while she was put under?

Poor girl.
