we didn't have that many..mostly Mooner was the stud and Zha zha was our "female" Bubbat you would have loved them both..the grrrrl was so polite, when she picked up the bird she would take her paws and tuck it together, then pick it up like it was the most fragile thing in the world. her face was such concentration on the task until she delivered to hand..she had the most beautiful puppies..i truly believe that wood ducks and Goldens win the award for the best most awesome babies ever. Her puppies looked like they were made of spun gold...I don't remember what Mooner's real name was on the papers, he was called mooner because he would jump up when your back was turned, get a hold of your back pocket..and you can guess the rest.. it was his game, his way of demanding attention. I would take my fingers and make "claws" and roar at him "pretending to be mad" that was my part of the game...and he would hit the ground and "act" all mournful. He was a clown....i was gone from the kennels for about 2 years..and when i came back i was standing in the driveway talking to old boss..looked up and saw mooner in the end kennel..i made my finger claws..and he hit the ground..they never forget a friend. Whoever ended up with one of those pups got a fine dog...both knew hand signals, could do triples and blinds..were trialed for the duration of their lives....they were sooooo smart.
