I was thinking the same thing. I think we all know trainers that have a *home* base and also a second training centre that they travel to etc.
What about a local horse club?? or farm?? They will often allow or do a deal to have an agility club move in. Or a boarding kennel/groomer/vet clinic???
I know of different agility clubs that are set up along with all of the above.
A SAFE ring can be quickly and cheaply put up, using T-Bars and Plastic $ ft high Snow Fencing. Of course you can also get the local Farm Supply or Hardware Store to donate as well.
In short, if there is a will, THERE is a way.....................Get all your ducks in a row........and start asking people..........if they say No, thats ok, just Thank them and move on.
You say this is a bunch of kids with limited resources etc. Ok, how about a 4-H Club for agility? To my knowledge you ONLY need One adult Leader.........
Good luck

We don't really have any horse clubs. We have the county fairgrounds, but I don't think we can use that. And my mother wouldn't drive the extra distance(20 min away). I lost my place outside of my house, we can't used my fenced in area, my other friend's fenced yard is too small to build even a small course, and the other girl's house is right next to a state road and she has nothing but electric fence.
Right now we're still trying to find a place to practice on our own.
However, I did get an email back from the other trainer and we might be able to work out a class an hour away once a month.
Lol. And to be quite honest, right now agility is hte LAST thing I want to talk about.
Working and competing in NADAC, CPE, and UKC all in one day with four dogs from 6 am to 8 pm is enough to make you quite sick of it for a few hours. Not to mention a hurt back.. but oh well. Get up the next day with positive attitude and pretend it doesn't hurt, have fun with the dogs, and even Dog Days can be made somewhat enjoyable.
