I can finally see why people believe that pit bulls are plotting the death of their owners. I've been embarrassed by Kai many many times before, but this is too much.

So here I am, on Christmas Eve, walking Kai as early as possible since I have to do my Christmas shopping later( yeah, who cares of you all did it earlier). It is a good day, the sun is shining, the wind blowing softly, people coming out of there houses greeting their arriving family members. You can feel the holiday in the air!

Now, I got to tell you a bit about Kai. He does these on-leash zoomies ever time we are heading back toward the apartments. It isn't like he yanks me around or anything. He just zooms at the end of thew leash in circles around me so it kinda looks like someone training a horse and the horse just circles the person, just like that, but really fast.

So he does it and it is really funny looking, you know, a dog running making circles around the owner with a crazed look on its face. So there are people outside going to and fro from the house to the car, and they stop and watch and laugh along with me.

SO just when I thought he was done, I take one step. Not two steps, not three steps, but just ONE step! Right where I stepped, the leash strategically appears below my foot. And RIGHT as I stepped on that leash, Kai suddenly got the case of the zoomies and jerks forward with all his might. Here I go, my one foot began jerk forward, my hands going everywhere, right to the hard, wet ground. The people watching just bursting into hysterical laughter as I try to get up and collect all my dignity. Now Kai, he is just licking me like, '' man, what happen to YOU, are you okay'' but I knew, I knew deep in my heart that he did that on purpose. If dogs could smirk, he would have been smirking.

I apologize to the pit bull community for this. I had unintentionally put truth to the myth that pit bulls are plotting every minute. That image will probably always be sketched into the brains of those poor citizens who had to see the truth in that very Christmas eve morning.:(

Hahahaha! It's true though... Domino tripped me the other day too. I had her on her long line at my parents' house (if we let her free she ends up in their koi pond) and I was out playing with her, throwing a "stick" (log). I threw it, she gets the lead right behind my feet and then runs. Up I go into the air, landing on my butt. Luckily no one was out to see it and the grass was dry so I kept a slight amount of dignity.

Just be happy it doesn't show up on YouTube... :D

My Rott mix, Emily, once yanked me out from under my ball cap - just like in the cartoons. I was talking to someone and she saw something she just had to chase - off she went and a split second later, so did I. The person I was talking to thought it was pretty funny...

I think I'm going to rehome Kai after this. He humiliated me too many times already. Where did I go wrong? I thought I was a good dog owner.:(

Anyone want a trip-me-up pit bull?

Pit Bulls definetly have a thing for tripping people, that's for sure! I used to walk a beautiful blue pittie puppy, and she absolutly loved to pretend she was walking perfect, and then dart out in front of me and trip me, and then play the, "Oh my god how did that happen!?" face.

My Pittie girl would never trip me. Not because she adores me or anything, but simply because I feed her and if I was in the hospital or died from a fall down the stairs she would starve, lol. Yay for locking dog-proof food bins and food motivated creatures.
