For those who have kept up with our story you know just how awesome this is. He is one now and at his shots yesterday he weighed in at 20.8LBS. He is scoring right in the middle for most things and advanced for the rest. So perfectly on track. He is able to walk about 4 -5 steps, is a furniture climber now so our home looks like a crash pad with all the cushions on the floor in front of the furniture. He has several words now and some he is learning to sound out. He is great at letting you know when he is hungry, needs to be changed or if he wants his sippy. He is very active but still a complete cuddle bug. The saddest part is he weaned himself off the breast about a week ago. He still gets breast milk but it is from a sippy now. I do miss that mommy and Nico time though. So now for the best part. PICTURES

Last but not least Nico enjoying his b-day cake.

They just grow up WAY too fast. What a year this has been for my family. Hoping the next year finally reunites us all and brings just as much good fortune as this year did.

Sorry it has taken so long for me to respond. After dropping Isabeau off Monday evening I started to feel really sick. Isabeau had a stomach bug all weekend and I think I got it. I got so sick with chills, heat waves, fever, throwing up and the runs that I could not even care for Nico on Thursday and Friday. Doug had to stay home from work. Well finally this morning I wake up weak, still a little sick to my tummy but no fever or chills and such. Great. Doug could go back to work. Went to get Nico up and the poor little dude had thrown up. So now all his bedding is being washed and he is getting tons of loves and cuddles. No fever yet but it took two days for that to hit me. Poor little guy. Hopefully my breast milk will give him some antibodies to fight it off faster then I was able to. That is why I have not responded. Been spending most of my time sleeping in bed. Thanks everyone for your comments. It is hard for us to believe he is 1. Time has sure flown by this year.
