Nicknames

I just was thinking that I call my dogs by their nicknames as much as (or more than) I call them by their actual names! Nicknames are as follows:
Brava: Big bucket head or Bravateen
Volga: Sausage or Volgatron
Eliza Jane: Eliza Djinn or The little one (though she's the tallest).

Skittledoo, Oh Skittledoo, Jose`'s nickname is Boo Boo too. :lol-sign:

Jose` also has a middle name...Miguel. But he is called Jose` and Boo Boo pretty much equally. Sometimes Jose`Olay.

Chulita is also Chuli (used interchangeably...equally) Her middle name is Consuelo and when I'm being silly or adamant, I call her Chulita Consuelo. Other nicknames are Lou, Luli, Chuli Luli and very often, Chi Chi.

I also refer to the two Chihuahuas as the Chi Chi's. My son calls me on the phone and asks, "how are the Chi Chi's?"

My Mia is known as Monkey or Brat-Monkey at agility class. :lol-sign:

Mia doesn't really have nicknames other than Brat, Noxious Dog, Brat-Monkey, Little Fart...

Summer is Summerstopit a lot. It's a long story but Summer has this tendency to go OCD on you and it seems like we're ALWAYS saying "Summer, stop it" and it runs together. Summer Dumber is another one...

Bernard is much better known by his nickname: Nard. I can't count how many times people get startled. "His name is really Bernard?! I just thought it was Nard' I also all him Nardish a lot. We tried Bernie breifly when we first got him but it totally doesn't work for him.

Beau: Bozo, Bubba, Bubs, Stinky

Rose: Ro, Rose-bunny (i did not come up with that), Ro-Ro

I think Bailey is referred to by his nicknames more often than his real name.

Most common are Bales, Belly and Bells.

Sometimes Bubbe, Bubs or Bubba. And then all of the cutesy nicks like sugar pie, lovebug, etc.

And he, of course, has a middle name, so he is also referred to as "Bailey Middle Name" or "Bailey Middle Name Last Name" (mostly when he's in trouble, as that's what my mom did with us. )

Katie: Katie Mae, pretty girl, Katie Kate, chowgirl, She, tank, zen girl, mama's most favorite dog (So I have two most favorite dogs. So?), baby girl

And lots of other things too soppy to mention. Oddly, they always know who I'm talking to, no matter what I call them. That's because human noises are not their real names. Their real names are smells.
