Woohoo First night of the NHL season tonight.

Anyone watch?

Buffalo beat Carolina 3-2 in a shoot out. LOL Carolina loses on the night they raised their banner LOL.

Ottawa beat Toronto 4-1 HOORAY

And so far Colorado is beating Dallas 2-0. Thank God for Turco or Dallas would be way out of this game. But what can you expect with Eric Lindros on your team

I'm thrilled that hockey has started up!!! Not so thrilled with the results from the Leafs game though. Hope they pick it up, they have a good team this year.

Blow Leafs Blow.

Breeze, as am I. Carolina didn't deserve the cup. Look at the circumstances in all their games in the play offs. Played montreal, our top player out with an eye injury (high stick to the eye, no call BTW) Played Buffalo half of their D out injured, McKee misses game 7 due to staff infection, Carolina squeaks by. Played Edmonton, take out their star goaltender Roloson (who had the biggest part in them getting to the finals if you ask me) No call yet again. They got lucky. Plain and Simple. I'm glad they lost AT HOME, home opener, after raising the banner

I am happy with the Avs game. Theodore is my favourite player and I was devestated when he was traded from Montreal. he hasn't had much work tonight but sometimes that makes the game even harder for a goalie. The Avs are mopping the floor with the Stars. they better kiss Turco's a$$ after this game because he is the only thing even keeping them close to being in the game.

I hate the leafs. Absolutely detest them. Of course, I am a Habs fan and it is a requirement. I would also be disowned if I ever showed any interest in the leafs lol but that would never happen anyway I do like Raycroft but it unfortunate he ended up there they might do well during the season but they will choke like they always do in the play offs (if they even make it in) You know what they say..."In Toronto, the leafs fall in the spring" hehe

Lets go Sabres! Not the prettiest of games, but we win in the shootout. Woot! I am glad we won, but I think the new Sabres logo is silly looking. It looks like a slug that has the head of a buffalo. Lame. LOL

Yay!! I enjoyed the Sens victory...what a grrrrreat start!
Finally! Finally! I've gotten so much more addicted to watch games since I can't play myself anymore....did I mention lately how much I miss my hockey team(s)??!!! AAAHHHH! I can't wait to move out of here and get up north again! Okay...so much for my little itsy bitsy hockey rant

Hubby will suffer as I met some more hockey fans...we will go and drive out to Raleigh to see some good games (and the Hurricanes lose!)...and of course I plan on taking him with me, hehehehe!

Dallas played last night against colorado. They were getting their asses kicked but luckily Turco was standing on his head and kept them within two goals.

The Avs came out coasting in the third (when will teams learn YOU CANNOT SIT ON A LEAD nothing frustrates me more than teams who think because they have a two goal lead that they can just stop playing.) they hung poor Theodore out to dry. Luckily for theodore, the fans in colorado are a lot more tolerant than the Montreal fans were for him. Montreal is a goalie haven. They don't care if the rest of the team sucks but if the goalie doesn't stand on his head he will get torn to shreds by the fans and their media. I am not THAT kind of Habs fan though. I hope theodore plays out of his mind this season and sticks it to the Montreal media. I love him

Not me. I have never nor will I ever live in Montreal But I am a habs fan until the day I die. I am only cheering for the Avs now because they got Theodore (traded for... UGH ...Abeischer) and I like Sakic, and they have a few guys from the hershey bears (when they were the Avs farm team. they are the Caps farm team now) that we like (marek Svatos is going to be something else)

A Leafs fan is a loyal fan, give us that much. Havn't won a cup since when, the 60's.
I really don't like people getting on other people about who they root for. I'm fine with any team anyone chooses to support, as long as they are loyal, and don't do the flip/flop year to year, it's all good! Guess that's another thing about us Leafs fans, we respect fans of other teams too...OMG!!! We're aweful...HAHHAHAHA.

Although we do like to tease a bit when we beat your team! HAHA
