I turned in my letter of resignation today! I've been planning this for a while now and have a new job lined up, and a lot of people at work already know I've been planning to leave, but I'm still nervous what everyone's reaction will be. I haven't burned any bridges or anything. My letter was very nice, and I even offered to continue to work contingent (at an increased rate of pay of course ;))

My job requires a 90 day notice though so my last day won't be until August 17. But I'll be starting work part time at my new job very soon, as soon some paperwork gets done. This summer will be crazy busy, working full time at the ER as well as part time with my new job (family practice), but it's only temporary and I plan on using the extra money to finally pay off ALL our credit cards!!! I just can't wait until this fall when I will be working Monday through Friday, 9-5, with EVERY weekend off, NO night shift, and EVERY holiday off and paid! With a regular schedule like that, maybe I'll even get to take an agility class with Maggie or something!!!

I'm doing something similar - DH's job transferred to another state and we'll be going along which meant I gave 6 months notice at my current job and will be starting my own business up there. I have about 2 months left at the current job which has a T-Sat schedule with 2 days until 9pm and then I'm taking a 6-8 week summer break before starting my business officially which will have a more normal schedule so I can compete in agility more seriously - I know exactly how awesome it is to see a normal schedule ahead of you!

Best wishes on your transition!
