newbie with black lab mix

Hi everyone, new to this forum. Came upon it looking for anyone that may have the same problem as we are having with our female Lab (Micki)- scratching and itching areas of her hind area. Licking and scratching - we discovered fleas and went the bath and flea collar route and it appears the fleas are gone but the skin is red from the irritation. Does anyone else have a word of help for us. Besides the dog we also have two cats an orange tabby Fat Al and an Maine Coon - Linus. Again hi to all, Mike

Hi metgolf, and welcome! Now that the fleas are gone, have you tried some medicated shampoo? They make it for dogs with skin problems or rashes, and it's suppossed to help soothe their skin.
