Hi Milo,
I was born and bred in Pompey, well just outside in Clanfield. I,m now in sunny Bournemouth (well actually it's raining right now but it's supposed to be)

Not really, I think some people still do but generally just out of habit, either older people/people whose parents still say it etc.

Hello!! And welcome!
I'm another Uk Escapee!!!! Now living in France!! But my parents still have a house in Hampshire!! Small world indeed!

And I still call them Alsations from time to time and I'm not that old!! :) It's apparently not politically correct to call them Alsations now because Alsace is now in France and not Germany, and they are a German Breed!! The French and Germans have been fighting over Alsace for centuries and I would imagine that when the breed originated Alsace belonged to Germany hence the name alsations :) !! Brief History lesson for ya! :D
