If you want to share of course.... LOL;)

Mine is simple but complicated... :p If that makes sense....

It is "To get healthier in 2010....."

For me, with my several vices... it is a threefold resolution....

The main, and most important, and hardest part:

Quit Smoking..... I WILL do it this time!

The second hardest, but I have been doing this for a while excepting this month, I was rather bad this month....

Eat Properly, healthier, and make my goal weight by 2011

The third, which ties into the second.... and will be tough, but not as bad as the first two parts....

Cut back my cola to one or two a day, then by 2011 eliminate it

I have been told this may be too much, but I am determined, so wish me luck and share yours if you want!

well i have "Goals"

#1: Focus on my health:
this is an inclusive goal to include eating habits, i want to cut back the carbs, eat small and frequent, right now i skip meals and i know its not helping me.
excersize, i need to set aside 1/2 hour every day to do something active, be it the wii fit...something.
this all leads to the goal of loosing 50lbs by december 31st 2010...this averages about 1lb a week which doesnt sound alot but having about 120lbs to go and having so many issues with my weight its a doable (but still likely tough for me) goal.

#2: Take time for ME:
ive spent the past 5 years thinking about every bugger elses needs...so ive decided in 2010 i will be focusing on me. i will be setting 2 hours a week aside to do something JUST for me...be that sitting in the tub with some bath salts, doing my nails...SOMETHING....

#3: Find a source of income:
im not sure from where yet, work from home, job, or get creative and try selling some things on etsy...i need some money...

which finally leads to #4:
Find a "new" car. mine needs alot of "little" things done that will end up costing more than the vehicle is worth...so i need to find the funds for a new one by the end of 2010. ideally a used suzuki sx4, subaru outback sport or other small 4wd vehicle.

1) Actually USE the gym membership that comes with my tuition
2) Walk Izzie every day
3) Sign up for Agility with Izzie
4) Eat Healthier (no more easy mac!)
5) Work much harder in school than the first semester
6) Work on my photography more

More goals than resolutions, but they count for both!

I have a few. They're more life goals than goals for next year, but we're starting some things on January 4.

- Be healthier. Exercise and eat right. We're kicking it off on Jan 4 with a 14 day cleanse which we did the month before our wedding and did very well on. Of course it was all over by the honeymoon lol. But this time we're starting off with that to get things going, and then we're just going to make lifestyle changes that involve eating healthier, exercising 5 days a week, taking some vitamins, drinking less, etc.
- Pay off debt. This has always been our goal and we have been doing this but we accrued a bit more debt this year. I guess our real goal is not to accrue anymore debt this year.
- Make more money. Justin is going to try to get promoted at his current job in any way he can. This may take a long time for him and it may involve eventually going back to school but he's going to do it. I want to either negotiate with my employer to make more money because I think I'm worth more than they're paying me, or I'm going to find a different job (which incidentally will be a great tool to negotiate with my employer because they don't want to lose me.) I already have my resume out at a few places and I'm going to start with a part time job and cut back my hours at my full time job so that I can test the waters elsewhere and see if the grass really is greener.

These are really our "family" goals. One of my own "fun" goals is to find a new hobby. Maybe I will teach the dogs tricks (they only know basic obedience now), or scrapbooking (but this would likely be limited to digital scrapbooking), maybe photography.

I want to learn to play the guitar I've owned for years and still can't use.
I want to loose the last of the extra weight. Its only 5-10kg, I know I can do it.
Buy my first car/get license.
I am booked in with a behaviourist in March for Buster... only problem is I moved 1200km away so I'll have to drive down.
Improve my photography skills.
I'd like to start running again.

I like resolutions, I look at them as goals to set for the new year and something to work towards.
I usually think about the goals again every 3 months or so and think about what I've done towards them.

Best decision I've made in the last year was to "take more oppurtunities when they come up"
since then I've tried to say "yes" to things I would normally say no to and I've had more fun in the last 6 months than in the last 4 years.

Quit Smoking..... I WILL do it this time!
Pfizer has introduced (or started heavily advertising, rather) Chantix (varenicline) which supposedly does well in helping cessation. I believe it blocks the nicotine receptors in your brain so you can still smoke cigarettes, but you'll get no relief from doing so so eventually you'll stop since there'll be no point to doing so. Haven't read too much about it though so I could be wrong on the mode of action, but you might want to look into it. There's also another drug calllllled....I don't remember. Bu-something or other. Anyhow you might look into them if willpower alone isn't working.

There's also the (relatively) new 'e-cigarette' which release a vaporized nicotine. It still gives you the nicotine fix without all the harmful **** that goes into cigarettes.

As for my resolutions, I only have one: get into vet school. Unfortunately it's not something I can actively control so I'll just have to set intermediary resolutions: do kickass in upcoming interviews, get more large animal experience, and write a killer application for next cycle if need be.

Well, I just weighed myself (no scales at home)....

And I have put on about 1/2 a stone. So my new year resolution is to bloody lose weight!!!!!!!!

And join a few things - the dog club for starters, the gym (to do classes & yoga), and maybe even slimming world hahahaha.

I've never really set them before, but my one goal for this year is to get all my credit card debt paid off. Tristan really put me in a hole with his health issues the last few years, and I hate it. I've paid off about 30% of it so far. Barring any major issues, I'm hoping I can get it down to zero this year.

eat healthier. It is something I was working on for a few weeks, then lost it. So, figure 2010 is a good time to start fresh.

Try harder at college, and get better grades than this semester.

This year I am making the same of the ones I made last year. Be better organized, try hard to understand someone's view before speaking, be the best person I can be. Baby steps to being a better person in the long haul :D

Quit smoking and weed out my house !
Ok Grammy.........at first glance this said "quit smoking weed at my house" :rofl1: *phew*

GO, I have a few friends that took Chantix last year........it worked GREAT for quitting smoking as long as you were taking it, when you stopped, you smoked again. So one drug for another doesn't sound good to me. AND, they all had the most horrible, vivid, frightening dreams! Something I could totally do without as I conjure up my own without help from drugs, LOLOL
