Hi, my name is Yvette, I live in WA state.
A friend referred me here and I made an account but didn't get around to the intros, so figured now is as good of time as any
We have a dog rescue here in WA, it is me, my husband and kids, and and a few very dedicated volunteers.
Before that, I worked as an ACO in the town we live in, and I'm still a certified ACO, I just don't work at it now (or at least not for money )
We've actually been rescuing for some 9yrs. but didn't do it "formally", that is, with a name and everything, until this past 4yrs. or so.
I have three kids, one lives in NY and had a baby last fall, making me a grandma, my other two are at home and are 18 and 15. They help out a lot with the rescue, which is great, they love to be involved.
Let's see - we have a rescued parrot named Zazu, some rescued goats and some we purchased, an assortment of Chickens, some rescues, 2 rescued horses, and many dogs (of course). We have 4 Dachshunds, a Sheltie, a GSDxDutch Shepherd, and a Boston Terrier mix, and one cat, an orange tabby named Sgt. Tibbs.
Life is busy, but good
