Hello!

We recently got a new puppy and the breeder was feeding kibble. Our two grown dogs are on Nature's Variety Raw Medallions. Can I switch her over to this at this point of do I need to wait until she is of a certain age?

Also, when feeding the raw do I need to supplement with anything? I supplement with raw egg, and salmon oil with the other two, but I didn't know if her digestive system could handle all of that are her age.

Thanks!

Yes, you can switch her.

SInce the Nature's Variety is pre-made, it already has all of the necessary supplements. Switch her very gradually, I've heard that the raw medallions can be too rich for some dogs.

I really didn't want to buy more kibble since I know it won't be used long. Just increase the raw as I decrease the kibble?

Do I need to wait until she has reached a certain age to feed her raw egg and salmon oil?

Thanks!

Since Nomi was on kibble when we got her I have been giving some thought to keeping her on a mixture of raw/kibble until she gets a little older.

What is everyones thoughts on this?

Also, if I go to a complete raw diet how old does she need to be before giving the pork/chicken necks, etc? Are there certain types of bones I should stay away from?

For a young pup, pork neck bones may be too hard. Chicken and duck necks can usually be chewed and digested quite easily and are typically a safe starting point. As your pup adjusts to raw, add different sources that you're comfortable feeding. Just remember that weight bearing bones are the hardest.
