Here's new pictures of Mac now at 2 years old!

He reminds me of his daddy (Ch. Gillian's Quintessential Quincy) with just shorter coat.

God I love this photo! I look at him and go gosh that's my boy! Really?? Lol

He's gorgeous! His coat looks like it's cording really nicely. Is it a lot of work to maintain?

He is looking good!

How do you cord the coat so it looks good but doesn't yank on their skin?

Actually not to bad. I resplit his coat like once a month. His cords stay separated nicely for me. Not all coats are the same so it differs from dog to dog. The hard part is keeping him white.

Wow!!!
I love how stark white he is!

I do love the shorter cords on him. How long does it usually take for them to grow to their full potential?

Komondorok are not corded at the skin you can actually put your finger through the coat at the top of the cord near the skin. Komondorok naturally cord. The coat isn't forced to cord. The Komondor & puli cord naturally. You could try to brush out the komondor & puli but you would break there coats and it would be a big waste of your time because they are natural corders & Never supposed to be brushed! Not like a matted dog where there are mats right to the skin. Which yes, this would cause skin irrations. The poodle & havanese can cord or be brushed out it just depends if you have the right texture to cord them.

It won't be until he's about 5 or 6 years old before his cords hit the ground! Boy do we have a long way to go. Lol He won't actually start winning in group until he's 3 1/2-4 years old. Which I think is a crock of ****. Lol If the dog is good specimen of the breed it shouldn't matter on the coat length. IMO

Very very handsome! Don't envy you keeping him white though

I gotta say, I really really like the look of the shorter cords on them
