Been a busy few days. Amongst finishing up some workstuff, my new addition has been named, has shed, and has eaten about 6 crickets.
His name is: Bahamut Solaris. Basol, or Baz, for short.
I chose the Bahamut first. Not only is Bahamut both the awesome summon if several FF games & the dragon god in D&D, fulfilling the geek aspect of the name, but the origin of the name lies in Arabic mythology. Bahamut is a large fish, said to support the weight of the world. This fulfills the fact that I was looking for an Arabic twist to the name, as leos are from Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.
The Solaris came also sort of geekily, as most of you know Solaris is the UNIX thingy from Sun Microsystems. But solaris is also a common name spun off from latin terms for the sun. My little guy is golden, orange and white (with a spottytail) so I wanted a sun-related name.
So, there you go! Bahamut Solaris. Basol. Baz.
Lots of pics. He showed the signs of shed yesterday afternoon.
Hai.
You can't see me. Except for my spottytail.
Mum-lady, my nose is rubbed and is yellow. Please to be giving me humid place to eat my skin.
So I give him his humid hide... and he lies behind it. Looking like a ghost. Or dead.
But then, this morning... *SPARKLE*
Look, mum-lady. I pose.
