Hi all,
I have been lurking for a little bit and decided to just bite the bullet and join up. I like that it's an all-breed forum, having never been on one before.
I have 5 furballs currently:
Ruadh CGC, a nearly 13 yr old American Pit Bull Terrier
Bowie, a 15 month old Boston Terrier
Fauna, a 14 week old American Bulldog
Fergus, a 5 yr old DSH
Willie Nelson, a 3.5 yr old DMH
I have had numerous other dogs throughout my life, in fact I've never not had a dog. Mostly notably is my Catahoula Leopard Dog hybrid (3/4 Cat, 1/4 ACD), Tonka. She passed away in November 2009, aged 10, cancer. I'll never get over loosing her. She was my second Catahoula, the first being Juno, who sadly died at age 2 in 1999 of tumor-induced Addison's disease. I love the breed very much but don't have an appropriate lifestyle to make one happy at this time. Bull breeds are a lot easier to maintain :lol-sign:
I've also fostered and successfully placed several dogs, mostly pit bulls. I don't foster dogs currently, but I often raise kittens or have a cat for adoption stuffed in my library.
I'm a vet tech and have been for almost 15 yrs. Currently I don't work with small animals, just marine turtles. I'm really nerdy, I read a lot and spend time with the animals. That's about all.
Um, what else? Dunno. Ask away, I guess (I suck at intros, obviously).
