Hi, I am Jane and my husband and I are retired. Our dear old YellowLab, Muffin, passed away 2 years ago, so we decided finally to get another dog similar to her.
We werent able to find a rescue dog, as both our previous dogs were, so we thought about it for a while, and decided we could deal with a puppy.

We have had Lilly for a week, she is almost 9 weeks old.
Since we have not had a puppy before, there are going to be some questions and guidance that we will need. And I am so glad we found this forum, as its just what we need!
Looking forward to reading and learning here,
and am enclosing a picture of her.
(Whoops, I thought the picture would be a thumbnail to click on, but I guess this is OK.)

Welcome to Chaz! Okay, my first bit of advice is that puppies should not be washed in the dishwasher. I just thought you might need to know that. ~LOL~ she's aDORable!!!

Oh, indeed, this is a great forum! I am so glad I joined. Lilly is a lot of fun, and is growing like a weed.
The only thing that we are having a problem with, is the chewing on things other than her toys, like the corners of all our rugs. Housebreaking is going very very well.
Its just the chewing problem and she does get a bit 'bitey' with our hands and shoes.
But this will be interesting to address, and I certainly will be reading every thread on that subject.
Thank you,
Jane
