Hello Everyone!
I just joined the forum and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Charmaine and I am owned by a whole bunch of furkids! I am 26 years old from Toronto. I have an engineering degree and work as a Management Consultant.
My happy family includes Cookie, Sparkle, Jellybean, Cupcake (all Maltese), Waffle (Shih Tzu) and Meow Mix (kitty)! I also have Nibbler (Maltese) who stays with my aunt (stay at home mom couple blocks away from me). In my life is also Buttercup (Maltese) who is my sister's beloved pet.
Just to tell you a little bit about my kids. Cookie is my first Maltese and a little love at 4.5 lbs! I wanted a Maltese ever since I was a little girl when my dad got me a dog book. I picked out the Maltese and said I wanted one. When I got my first real job and saved enough money, I went out and got Cookie! She was a show potential but she was never shown due to some AKC issues (this is another story about a show breeder turned puppy miller).
Next came Nibbler who now lives with my aunt. He is a little boy at 3 lbs and I wanted someone to be there with him all the time. He adores Cookie and is a sweet heart. Waffle then joined our family. He is a beautiful 6.5 lb Shih Tzu who was too small to make the ring. He is a champion at our home!
Sparkle (3 lbs), Cupcake (3.9 lbs) and Jellybean (4.5 lbs) are from the same breeder. Sparkle was my show potential girl who decided to stop growing. She has my heart and is my little girl. I love her like crazy. Cupcake and Jellybean are littermates and my current show potentials. They are 1 year old but haven't hit the show ring yet due to a little hair cutting incident while I went on vacation!
On the side, I also own a pet accessories store
We will be launching an online site in August.
I am very excited to join this forum and can't wait to meet all of you. (Sorry for the long post).
