I mean FEATHERED :lol-sign: ! I got him last night so he is still adjusting to his new home. He is a 3 month old Pacific Parrotlet they are the second smallest species of parrot in the world. They are a small parrot with a BIG parrot personality such as a macaw or cockatoo! They can learn up to 20 words and are very funny little birds. I didn't actually take a picture of him but here is what he looks like! I don't want to freak him out until he is comfortable. I am having a hard time thinking of a name so any ideas would be great! He is a "boy" so maybe something that is a big strong name for such a little boy LOL!

oh he is pretty!! The first thing that popped into my mind name-wise, was Citrus--he has lime coloring. But that's not very strong--so then I went right to Tequila!

That is a very cute little guy Shanon. I used to have a Beebe Parrot and he was real neat. He did not talk but my parakeet Tweetie sure did. It is a lot of work to train them to. I got records and played them over and over. They keep repeating a phrase or whistle and then you have to do the same. Seemed hopeless and then one day he talked to me and never shut up afterward

I had a parakeet that talked to! His name was tweetie as well and he said "pretty bird" "hello" and "Daddy" LOL! I have also had cockatiels and always wanted a parrot but didn't want a big one! so the little parrot with BIG parrot personality is just perfect for me!!

LOL Grammy! What a great story!! What kind of parrot was it? I had a few people at work tell me to teach him bad words, but with a 5 year old it will never happen LOL! I don't want the bird to be teaching my daughter potty mouth LOL!

Congrats on your new addition!! You'll soon adore your little guy! I have a female parrotlet who is definitely the boss of the household. When my 35 gram parrotlet goes after my 100lb dogs, they run in terror. It certainly is a sight!!
Here's my Kiwi. The females have no blue and tend not to talk quite as well.

Pretty birdie!

My grandfather inherited a grey parrot when I was a kid. Those buggers live a long time don't they? The bird only knew dirty Italian words. I recall one day it calling my mother an interesting name and she looked him in the eye and said, "You had better pray the old man doesn't die before you do".

That's the only bird I ever knew. I just don't think birds would do well in my home with the cats.
