Hi there. I haven't been around in a while, but wanted to drop by and introduce Finn to the board. Finn is my second Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla and my first male dog. He's about 2 yrs and 8 months old and is a real sweetheart. I couldn't be happier about how well he's fitting in with our crew (Winnie, plus my wife's Jack Russell).

Speaking of the crew, I made a little comic about them: Winnie and Friends: The Adventures of Winnie and Friends!

Here are some pics of Finn and Winnie. His coat is more correct for the breed.

I LOVE HAVING TWO DOGS GREET ME WHEN I COME HOME!! :D

How lovely! I had never seen a wire-haired Visla and didn't even know they existed before now. They look---addictive!

He is ADORABLE!

And whoa, do dragon claws come standard with this coat type? LOL! What's his story? He looks like such a cool boy; what does Winnie think of him?

Hah! Yeah we cut his nails after I saw this pic. But they actually weren't all that long, just kind of stretched out from this position I think.

He's a product of a messy divorce where the woman had to change her whole life. Very sad, he's a sweet, sweet boy. I had met him last year at a show in Michigan and fell in love with him, so when the word got out that he needed a home, we talked it over and decided we could make room for him.

Winnie is not all that crazy about other dogs, so I was very nervous. But after some tentative moments early, she has been ABSOLUTELY GREAT! I am so proud of her for letting him in. They follow eachother everywhere. And check this out - when they chase a ball or toy across the yard? Whoever reaches it first, the other dog respects that and they both run back to me, tails wagging. I sometimes have to check the beards for who's got the ball! No conflicts, no scraps, no nothing. Tolerance and respect, and a little later, affection. Winnie and I are both getting more exercise too, which is good. I'm teaching her to heel on the right side so when we walk I am a wirehair sandwich. Love it.

Aww, that's awesome! I'm so glad you can give him a good home. I wish I had an Aussie sammich.

Thank you all so much. I couldn't be happier with him, I honestly couldn't. Already I feel like he's been my dog his whole life.
