Oh Dogless, you have me this hysterical vision. I could tie her to a chair and make her watch 11 hours of Lassie. That should cure her! LOLOLOL!

LOL! That would be a great antidote. Normally, my thoughts on Disney are that he has done a real disservice to dogs, making them out to be these highly logical, complex thinking animals. As a result, people expect too much from their dogs. However, in this case, I think a Lassie marathon would be something useful for your friend. LOL.

I thought I would bring this thread back to thank you all for your advice. Tosca and my friend are doing much better together now! Tosca has been a saint with her and I really think we are on our way to desensitization here! Today, I actually left her alone with Tosca in the living room feigning reasons to leave the room twice. When I got back, Tosca was still sitting by her and I actually heard her talking to Tosca. Overall, I would say Tosca did most of the work for me. She's just been incredibly gentle and patient with the woman. We had dinner here and Tosca planked herself under the table near her feet. Fortunately, I didn't have to force her to watch Lassie movies though.:p :p
