Oh my God I couldn't even keep reading past the first page, I HAD to go to the last page to know if he'd turned up. I honestly stopped breathing. I am SO GLAD he is back home. Clever Strider, getting away from the thief - good boy!!

I just saw this thread. I'm so glad he's back home, and I can't help but hope the blood belongs to the thief.

I just saw this thread. I'm SOO glad he was found! My heart sank for you when I read your first post. :( :(

Thank GOD he's found. ((((((HUGS)))))))) Romy.

ANYONE READING THIS: If you EVER have your dog outside in fencing without your direct supervision, GET SOME LOCKS!! Lock your gates, it is the best and easiest prevention ever!
^^^ LISTEN TO THAT!

All my gates are locked, and if someone got in, my dogs will bark like MAD or the gate will squeak when opening it.

I just got home to see this, and THANK GOD he's home!!! Man, I am SO happy for you!!

And yes, locks, absolutely! Our gate is locked 24/7 with a masterlock that is supposedly pick-proof. On top of this, my dogs are never left outside unsupervised, and this is one big reasons why. I sit out there with them each time they go out.

I am so, so, SO happy that he is home!

*falls over*

I was reading like mad through the posts to see what happened and I think I was holding my breath the whole time. I am SO VERY BEYOND THRILLED he's back home already!

I think it might be fun to install a sound recording of a shotgun being pumped a few seconds after the motion lights come on.

my gate has a padlock on it ever since someone tried breaking into my house one night because he had met me earlier and "liked me." Ummm what were you planning on doing breaking in at 6am?

My dogs bark like CRAZY if they hear the slightest sound, but that wasn't enough for me. My backyard is surrounded by 6 ft block wall, so its a bit of a deterrent, but the gate on the side of my house is locked.

I also got all my locks changed when my ex-fiance moved out. Just in case.

Im scared of the dark and when i was living alone it was VERy hard for me to sleep at night.

thats one of the good and bad about having an "unusual" breed
the bad: there more likely to be taken by someone looking to make a quick $$
but
the good: if someone does take em there more likley to be caught thanks to them taking an unusual breed.

im sooo glad he outsmarted the idiots trying to take him, hopefully theres some wanna be dog thrief out there with a nasty bite wound (id advise the police that there was blood on his muzzle so the theif MAY be walking around with a bite wound)

if you can afford to instal security cameras i do suggest it (and we will be once we buy our own house) if not you can pick up fake (but very realistic looking) ones for dirt cheap.

its terrifying.

im glad he got home safe.
