Hi, I just started feeding my dogs Eagle Pack recently and while 4 of them are doing just fine with it. My oldest Chihuahua has been throwing up almost everyday for the last 4 days... He'll throw up one minute and be just fine the next minute...
I took him to the vet and he did some blood work and it looks like everything is just fine there. He thinks the new food just isn't agreeing with him, and suggested I try something different...He gave me an EN food to calm his stomach for the next few days and then I can give him something different.

Well, I don't know what else to get. I wanted to give the Eagle Pack because I wanted what was best for the boys, but it's obviously not going to work. Does anyone have any suggestions??? Also, if Eagle Pack doesn't work, does that mean any natural food like Eagle Pack will cause the same thing to happen.
They were eating Eukenuba before. I hate to keep buying different foods and have him sick again. Also, anything I get will have to be ordered from the internet because I have limited resources in my little town... Is it alright to give him Eukenuba again until I find a food that will work with him?

Any help would be appreciated. I just love the little guy to death and I don't want to make him sick if I can help it... THANKS

Did you do a switch quickly, without mixing? It may have upset his stomach if you did it this way.

Possibly add some digestive enzymes to his food for a little while? Help him keep it in and make the change easier on his tummy?

If I fed either my dog something and it threw up, a couple of times , I wouldn't even consider feeding it to her again. Why not try another food? There are plenty of good foods out there.

I mixed with their old food for about a week and then I switched.

I'm definately gonna try another food. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I would try something that has a simpler formula than Eagle Pack. While it is certainly a high quality food, it's not ideal for every single dog.

My first suggestion would be California Natural (either chicken or lamb, I'd pick the same the Eukanuba you were feeding contained) and if you can't get that, Canidae, also either chicken or lamb, but not the one that contains both.

I just ordered a small bag of California Natural. I'm gonna give it a shot and see what happens. I'll keep you all informed.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP! I really appreciate it.
