I saved a 2 year old Jindo on sunday and brought her down from Big bear mountain (which i believe is about 6,000+ feet in elevation). I live at sea level and it's very humid here compared to big bear. The weather here never drops under 50degrees F. at night. In big bear it snows.

The dog was raised with another Jindo (who i believe was the alpha of the group). The dog i saved is very calm and doesnt jump all over you. The owner mentioned she never was like that.

My problem is that she will not eat. The owners were feeding her kirkland brand food. She'll eat a little bit if i feed her by hand (dropping bits of food on the ground). I did that a couple times and stopped since i didnt want her to get used to getting fed. I've left food out and she wont touch it. A friends buddy works for inova and i got a box full of free samples and tried feeding it to her today. She ignores it. She'll eat the soft wet treats like nothing. I've tried giving her dog treats that are dry and she wont touch them. She tried a dog cookie once and once she realized it was sweet, she wanted more.

Her stool is a dark yellow/tan color and it's very wet (obviously since she's not eating)

I also brought her dog crate (which was her "den" back in big bear") I had her in there on the drive down and after that she wouldnt go into her dog crate. We put carpet out for her and she laid on that so then while placing the carpet into the dog crate she mounted me from the rear and tried to hump my back. After that, she now sleeps inside the crate. It's odd...

Anyone know what may be the problem? Home sickness? I've had her since sunday and since then she's only ate about a cup and a half of food. Should i just leave food out or do regular feedings and remove food if she doesnt eat?

Stress from atmosphere change maybe?
Thats what i was thinking... It's 82 degrees here today and it's 59 degrees up in big bear. 23 degree difference...

Good news though, she started eating some of the food i left on the floor. half kirkland half inova evo.

Then i fed her pure inova evo and she cleaned the bowl and wanted more. I'm happy! I'll be feeding her 80% kirkland 20% evo tonight! and she actually eats out of her bowl. Dont know if she just got too hungry or if it was the evo! We'll see tonight

she ate only 5-6 pieces of mixed kirkland/inova evo tonight =( I even took her for a walk before eating too. Seem the dog it grew up with back in big bear isnt eating much either. I just removed the food and will try again in the morning after her walk.

The dogs grandparents were show winners. My current girlfriends, high school alumni friends boyfriend purchased 2 of these jindo's from a breeder (yea sounds like a bad joke =) The other dog is with my gf's friends boyfriend. Well, the previous own of my dog had another Jindo and he has a bad eye and bad hip so they're putting him to sleep soon. They just bought another dog and their 3 kids have dogs also. So on holidays when they come home there's way too many dogs. So, they were going to give the dog to the pound.

The dog is most likely stressed from the move; I would continue to switch the food over to what you want to feed her, and stick with that and a normal feeding routine. None of my dog's ate at first either; it took them about a week. Don't get her used to you trying lots of little tricks and tidbits. Just put the food down and she'll eat when she gets hungry.
