Hi,
I posted yesterday, and still no advice
my situation goes a little something like this.......my sweet adorable new pup, 11 weeks old has been humping....my older lab....both are females, I don't know why she does this, should I try to stop her? or just let them work it out??

11 weeks? That's really young to be starting such behavior. What kind of dog is she and are you sure she's just 11 weeks?

Dogs tend to do this for one of three reasons:

It feels good.~ self explanatory
She's being the "dominant" dog.~ also self explanatory.
Hormonal imballance.~ can be caused by any number of changes in enviroment, mental health, physical alteration (if she'd been spayed or not) or about 50 other things.

...none of which are prone to younger dogs.

Take disceplinary action when you catch her in the act and give her a couple weeks...this is usually a "phase" thing. If the behavior persists then seek professional advice from a vet or behavioral specialist.

Also let her know she'll go blind.

thanks for the info, yes, I know for a fact she's only 11 weeks old , she a yellow lab and our other dog, also a lab, black is two...when we introduced the pup to our home she started this behavior right away...I think she's trying to establish dominance over the other dog in the house..and I have been redirecting her focus when I catch her doing this, so I'm hoping it's a phase she will soon outgrow...thanks again

That does sound like a young age, and it sounds to me like she is trying to establish her dominance over your other dog. Hopefully this will pass, the re-directing sounds good and I would suggest you not scold her directly for it, but use the re-direction.

I have seen this happen with young pups.
From what I have seen it is just a natural instinct.
She will probably grow out of it, for the most part.:D

I think redirection is a great idea. I would never discipline for that.
